That was the point of the 3rd option. Yes, he could reveal the true nature of his friend. But all that would change would be that friend disappears from his life, whilst releasing the picture and causing all the problems of option 2. So in its own way option 3 is "worse" since he'd force the man he loves to deal with the eyes of society - which no-one is under any delusions about him being able to cope with - and take away the person who got him through it last time. Hell, knowing it is BECAUSE of that guy. And Eunsung can't help him cos he's part of the reason that'll draw eyes. SO his logic makes some sense. It is still wrong, but I get why he came to this conclusion - and it isn't simply "he's a dumbass"
