I totally onboard with your view on this, I feel like the author wants to portray a conflict that the boys can overcome together bcs there's no such thing as a smooth ride in a r/ship and such tribulations would make def make it stronger. I'm with you on yr last statement too! I believe that's the way things are going rn so I'll wait for the happy ending as well
