* Seriously though, you would expect a yaoi author to maybe not pander to the sexism, and have their 'uke' say something in response like 'so what?' as opposed to, ooohh seme you are my ReAl first. bruh

The thing is, who actually finds this type of trope 'enjoyable'? A character getting mad, in his own words, because his partner isn't a virgin is seriously odd and disrespectful.

replace "woman" with "partner"

well then I am "brave enough" and Imma say it just like them, it isn't enjoyable to read a manga and feel like the uke is treated "like a woman" and how bad they treat them, you can argue and say this manga doesn't really do that BUT a lot of yaoi mangas do and that's pretty annoying, that's the point, now if you enjoy it, ok do your thing, but I'll still talk about it bc it's a harmful stereotype and we shouldn't be quiet about those things

That’s true, we shouldn’t be quiet about these things but if you think about the mindset of the author and the culture they came from, the reason most yaoi’s are like this is because their culture doesn’t support such things so their view of it might be a little twisted and most of the audience wants a “scandalous”... also sorry for my earlier comment, it was kinda rude and i regret it, but the thing is i believe that there is a better way of addressing the negatives of a manga without calling it shit. I do regret it he wa i responded but at that time, i was mostly focusing on the user calling it shit, and didn’t read the whole thing.... sorry anonymous user, you had every right to express your opinion and had some good points, and i can understand why you made yourself anonymous. So sorry, but maybe you could phrase it a bit differently, or at least not start it out with shit as your first statement, lol. But i totally get what u meant, it is fucked up.... but I’m the kinda person that has seen it so many times that i not reallly proud to admit it, but i got used to seeing this shit in a manga that i try to enjoy whatever good part there was. Also it pissed me off too how he reacted to him not being a Virgin.

man it's totally fine, I agree with you, sometimes we say things bc we're mad and all but it's fine, I think you were a total badass coming here and saying what you think you did wrong, seriously. Like I said sometimes we just say things bc we're angry and come off too strong, anyway it's totally a mindset of the time and place but I think like you said we it's probably better if we just say the arguments and don't get too heated with it bc then people can try to understand us better bc it's such tropes that even if they're from certain time and place we should always say it's wrong to see what was wrong about it and move on

lol i never thought of that, but now it’s going to haunt me so much i’m going to double triple check and feel horrified when there are mistakes
i can see it now....
me:*after double triple checking* ok i can post this, its readable
me after i post it: HOW DID I SPELL MY OWN USERNAME WRONG?!? AND IF I CANT SPELL THAT, HOW AM I STILL ALIVE? WHY DO PEOPLE CALL ME SMART? I CANT SPELL TO SAVE MY LIFE! ALSO IF IM SMART, THE FUTURE IS LOOKING A LITTLE LESS BRIGHT....( ̄∇ ̄")
Ha, what is this shit? The character getting so 'mad' because his partner wasn't a virgin! God, all it needed for yaoi cliche (that totally isn't some woman trying to view the sexism in her society from a male's viewpoint uh huh) 'I'm going to over write all your past lovers' 'I'm going to make my mark on you' 'I'm going to change your body so it only needs me' and all the other cliche shit yaoi authors write, in the role of the man talking about his girlfriend, sorry 'uke' who isn't a virgin.
