I've been trying to say this to someone...his internal conflicts don't excuse what he's done
agree 1000%!!! There is no excuse for him to act like the worst person ever and then be forgiven! The whole manhwa was ruined because of him in my eyes and nothing can't fix it...also i hate to see dead pets used as some kind sad emotional past..NO, just no.

hmmm , i actually quite like it. of course his illegal and horrid acts aren't justified nor permissible. But i think this "twist", or whatever, is a good way to "clean" the story up? kind of gives peace to the two MCs and pave way for an actual happy relationship. And then on top of that, the author doesn't have to write off one of their characters.
Agreed, the author could have totally gone with something more subtle and less dramatic. But that's just a matter of the author's preference rather than an actual plot change

You can't just put a "sad" backstory on a terrible character and suddenly everything they did is okay. Didn't he drug and kidnap Siwon, hold him captive, invade his dreams against his will and manipulate his memories (which is a whole other level of creepy), and just threaten to keep them as some sort of creepy sex pets for the rest of their lives? And I'm supposed to feel bad because he was a lonely kid with a bad father? Siwon and Jinha were both lonely kids with bad fathers and neither of them turned into psychopaths. This "twist" is stupid.
