I think in his own twisted way ..he is trying to get them together... and he is using the uke method ...(if you can't stay together with a little outside interference..then you don't belong together)
That has no meaning anymore. It has nothing to do with that. Naru wants to wake up all three of them. He wants them to be free from the things that tight them down, but he uses a very harsh and stupid method to do that.
