He broke his promis though, he said he won't call her Tia in front of others but still did it.
Technically Tia is still engaged with the prince and the nickname part was just explained.
If words get out, people might start thinking bad especially those who emvy Tia or worst, she might be questioned as to why she gave permission.
Regardless of Allendis not being completely honest with his true nature, especially when it comes to others in front of Tia. I still love him. He's obviously more complex than a majority of the other characters, and he honestly hasn't given US, as readers, a reason to distrust him. Half the people on here spouting about "not trusting him", don't actually know much about his character. I'm fascinated by his character, and I've always liked characters that have more to them then a pure white side anyway. Allendis obviously really liks Tia, and I'm all for someone who would likely do anything for her. It's what she needs after everything she's been through. Love Allendis, don't @ me. (▰˘◡˘▰)
