I just think it shows a curious teenager who for the most part has been very sheltered/spoiled by the people around him so much so that he doesn’t have a concept of danger. He attracts a lot of people in his life, some good and some bad, but he’s unable to pick up on the dangerous aspects of the bad ones. Another commentor said this but he would absolutely have had fallen into drugs, crime, and a dangerous world like the yakuza if it hadn’t been for the other character Nao. His dumbassery is there to show us the balance that Nao brings to his life. His outgoing nature drags Nao out of his shell, and Nao’s caution and general common sense keeps Keima grounded.
I truly felt disappointed with the story. I mean for one the MC is a total nimrod. I mean who the fuck goes to somebody's house in which you DON'T know. And the matter of the fact is that the drug dealer even told to stay away and yet you still go. Plus you just had to drag nao with you didn't you?? I mean I really feel bad for him for having to put up with you. He has been silently dying all this time and you still haven't taken his feelings into consideration. I mean it must be tiring to like someone like him （￣へ￣）
