Honestly? He sounds like complete and utter trash. He wanted to "be intimate" with you one last time? On the same damn day he told you he likes your friend? And now that your friend knows, he wants you to take the fall and tell her you were lying? This is a decision your friend made after hearing the crap he pulled, so you should just let it be. If you really love your friend, you would want what's best for her-- and that shit of a guy ain't it.
Can I also say that I am proud of you for saying no to his request for one last time? You obviously care for your friend and I understand that you want them to work, but also think about it: if you had enough tact and consideration to refuse, then shouldn't his feelings for your friend have stopped him from asking what he asked? His actions are not in sync with his words, and that tells me his feelings aren't genuine. You may have butted in, but you also saved your friend a whole lot of trouble she didn't need in her life.
its her choice to make...if she wants him then let her try. she prolly knows that its a mistake, but trying changing her mind wont change anything. its better to regret something u've done than something that u didnt do.

-He told me not to tell her anything about the stupid stuff but she already knew (he didn't know that) so on that same day he told me he likes her so I let it be but then later on he wants to be intimate with me one last time.

-I told her what just happened and yeah she was really sad, so she decides to drop him
-He the next day tells me to tell her it's all a lie but I ignored him I shouldn't have butted in like that I really do love her to bits.
