Testing a FRIEND? In a evil way? He could be testing him. But then again, you don’t test your friend. You help them to overcome their traumas. And the last ten years? What was happening there? He could have “tested“ him wayyyy longer instead of watching him to suffer for ten years. So Naru set this whole thing up, to let Masato fall in love with Asahi, and then comes the bitch slap: “Sorry, actually it was all a joke to take revenge on you....Bye...Bye...“. Okay and now? In this situation, Masato can easily turn into his older self. It didn’t help. Masato finally managed to overcome his trauma and he felt extremely sorry for the things he did. And then comes this shit. Naru is not someone who can be considered as a friend. Not in a slightest way. Naru sticked his nose into affairs which didn’t concern him.

It placed the blame completely on Naru (what I've wanted to say and the OP managed to put together so perfectly is that if Naru REALLY was testing Masato to see if he could/had overcome his trauma not only did he have TEN YEARS to do so prior, he also was the closest to Masato over the years and should have recognized that this was the WORST time to pull this kind of shit, given that Masato was OBVIOUSLY already starting to learn this 'lesson' AND friends don't test you, they help you in the way you WANT to be helped), where it SOLELY belongs.

I am not triying to defend anyone here. What Masato did in the past was definitely not wright. But what Naru did right now is WICKED. I am sooooo mad at him. To say that Naru actually chases good intentions with this, is pointless. If he wanted to help Masato and “open his eyes’’ then what was he doing the last TEN years?!!! THE FUCK. Excuse me mister, but how can such a person even consider himself as a FRIEND. He clearly knew what Masato went through. Like the man Masato truly loved, cheated on him and got MARRIED. This is some true shit and can completely wreck a person and it did. It destroyed Masato. But what was Naru doing all the time? NOTHING. He, as a friend, was watching how Masato completely destroyed himself and the people around him. And this continued for fucking ten years. But nooo. It seems like it didn’t affect Naru.
