I think it might be a mistake in translation, and they are just brothers. Perhaps identical looking brothers,. Or they are identical twins and the older one is one year ahead scholastically.
You're probably right about them being just brothers. Jo han isnt only a class higher but their age is also a year apart. thx :)
I thought main character say they are twins...???? Maybe mad dog got held back.. it happens and it looked like he was a problem child so he might have got held back...
I think that since there in Korea and they age people differently I have a feeling that one twin is born on the last day of December on the last hour and the other was born January 1st and by default makes one older school wise. I could be wrong.

The reason I think it may be a mistake in translation is because it might be easy to confuse the term for identical brothers for twins in some languages. Meaning when the MC says they are "twins" in the original text the term may be one for identical brothers or one that can be applied in both cases. Otherwise you have to presume a freak occurrence as CookieMonster is doing, and that is without even knowing if they would actually separate brothers scholastically under those circumstances. Korea already traditionally has a different way of counting age, and probably also has the Asian calendar as well. When it comes to schooling I believe the follow the Western calendar for practical purposes, at least as far as age is concerned.
