yea i'm reading it on mangago but i'm not putting myself out there to the author herself that i'm reading illegally and crying over spilled milk when she blocks me. that's the whole point i'm trying to make lmao. i wouldn't see why she would block you otherwise. it was probably the way she interpreted your message but all i'm saying is she has a right to get angry and block readers who read on websites illegally. that may not have been what you tweeted but you don't need to prove to me that you read or do not read illegally, cause here you are.
I don't read manga on here anymore though? I stopped after I read the article of another manhwa artist saying she was losing sleep and getting sick over illegal sites. It's been only about 7-8 months or so, but I am still sorry towards the authors I hurt. I really do come for the comments since I'm still learning Korean (and I learned Japanese in uni, so no excuse to look for translations there) and I like discussing with people (but I agree that coming on here regardless is hypocritical, I just wish there was a legal discussion place for English readers). It's okay that it was unclear, you've cleared it up now. Since you said english is your 2nd language, I said that you're socially unaware because the word "retarded" is basically taboo, you shouldn't use that word as an insult because then you're insulting people that actually are mentally retarded (which is making light of their suffering and their existence. I have a close autistic friend so this is really personal for me). Reading the rest of your post, I'm seeing your previous posts in a different light. Mingwa isn't perfect but nor is she the jerk you originally painted her out to be. That's why so many people came here to her defense (especially with how the posts originally appeared to be about the illegal site defender). Considering all that's happened, I really do think now that she misunderstood your words, but misunderstanding someone doesn't make that person mean. Also, I'm sorry, your words are still a bit confusing to me, can you just say yes or no to the next question, if you want to: you said "I want to mingwa to understand that don’t be mad at this certain people because these people are reading in the proper legal site and are paying for your hardwork and effort" -> did those certain people who got blocked say anything about how they pay officially AND also talked about how mangago or other illegal sites have benefits or something along those lines? Cause that's really how your words are reading to me. If yes, then your tweet must have looked like you were defending these sites even though you didn't mean to (Mingwa won't know your intentions through a short message, she'll only know the message). If no, then it looks like you were misunderstood or somehow caught in the fire when she was blocking people. Looking back, my posts and others must have come on really strong, but it wasn't meant to insult you, I'm sorry if I did. I guess what I want to say is don't be too upset at the author and I wouldn't take it personally, it's very possible it was all a mistake. And I hope you can continue reading the series, it would suck for you to stop at this point (is this the climax or is there more?).
No they weren’t defending it lol. So I pointed it out and I was caught in a crossfire. Also good news, we don’t use mentally retarded in psychology anymore so you can rest assured . Because retarded is an offensive word for an idiot. The terminology shifted long time ago to intellectual disability. Sorry if I sounded effensive as well. I was getting ticked off from all this misunderstanding. I am gonna continue, disappointment just got the best of me.
And I wasn’t crying over spilled milk so I don’t know who you are referring this to? If you want to say something about it, say it to the ones who are crying about it, the people that want free chapters back. I found it out through mangago but guess what? From mangago I was able to find the official website in which I can support her. So whether we like it or not. Mangago gave a road to legal support in a way.
Glad we could work this out! But about the retarded part, I myself am hearing impaired (I wear hearing aids!), and I have to say, I really hate the political correctness people are doing to avoid offending us. Calling me disabled is correct, I am unable to hear fully. Retard is the correct term for mentally deficient people as well, the mental development has slowed down or stopped. To me, intellectual disability is the same as retardation, and calling others able-bodied still means I'm disabled. Words are offensive when they're meant offensively, so let's just not use those words as offenses, there are much better and much more satisfying ways of offending someone (not that I want to lol). I don't get why the definitions of the words or the words used to describe people have to change just because people now use those terms offensively. We're disabled, not sensitive weak-minded people (I'm not directing this at you, I just have to get this off my chest for those who feel they need to protect us from words). Let's focus our energies on helping each other where we can! Also, rather than being offensive, I think with all of us misunderstanding and then kind of ganging up on you, you had no choice but to become defensive. And yay! Glad you're still reading :)
Thank you! You're so sweet Let's reframe it a bit though: my attitude partially comes from my disability! I grew up with it, so it's really like an eye impairment for me, I wear hearing aids just like others wear glasses! Sure, communication is more difficult, but it's difficult anyway, I'm just thankful that I can do what I can do. Ok, I'm being disgustingly positive, I promise you I'm normally very pessimistic, I'm just like this about my disability lol. I wish a good day and happiness for you too! (=・ω・=)

Mental retarded is term that isn’t used to discribe disabilities any more because the meaning for word retarded got altered over time. If you use mentality retarded to discribe disblilites in lab setting and any sorts of medical setting you would get kicked out of the program itself. It’s really an old term that isn’t used anymore or rather extinct. I don’t know how you even got it to be used again in such away. It’s not political correctness. It’s the scientific environment that don’t use it anymore. I am not protecting you from words it’s what we use on day to day life as well. So if someday told you retardation or retarded, just correct them and tell them to wipe the dust of their shoulder.
The scientific community still uses the word, it's still officially classified as Mental Retardation (MR). The official change to Intellectual Disability was in 2013, but MR is still used widely as an equivalent term (I'm not pulling this out of nowhere, as an activist, I know the terms used). Maybe you can be fired wherever you are? If you're being fired for that in the US, then that's illegal. And it's definitely political correctness - the words perfectly describe the people they're describing, they're just changing it to avoid offending people. What I'm saying is, people are constantly taking words that describe mentally and physically disabled and reappropriating them as insults, leading people to then change the word that describes those disabled people to avoid offending them. It's like a renewal process. In my lifetime alone, its gone from disabled to handicapped to impaired to special needs to differently abled (once in high school, the administration asked to change disabilities to exceptionalities... ugh). An example of this is the word cripple - it was just a word that meant someone or something with a physical disability. Now, it's super offensive to use that word to describe actual crippled people because others started using the term offensively. This will keep happening. Changing the words does not help the disabled community at all and the change is often prompted by non-disabled activists who think changing the meaning changes something for us. It's never the actual disabled who ask for these changes, its always the advocates (this is what happened with MR). Let's stop policing words and use them the way they were meant, we can handle it. It's more difficult to keep reinventing ourselves every 5 years cause some jerks decided to use our words as insults. Actually, just leave the words alone. The words will always have a negative connotation, because disabled people themselves will always be seen negatively, regardless of the words (it's called the euphemism treadmill). Words don't change that. In the future, differently abled and intellectually disabled will be used as insults too (intellectually disabled already is) and then there'll be new words again! Stop changing the words (this is a plea to not just you, it's to whoever reads this), stop protecting us from words, it's patronizing and ineffective. Thanks for reading.
She blocked for telling her she blocked someone who supports her on lezhin. Wow I am gonna stop supporting her on lezhin and discontinue reading it.
