I checked the raw. It said that being an uke, ‘nanka otoko to shite dame na kanji ni narisou dakara’, which means somewhere around ‘because it seems to be a bad feeling as a man’. If I am an optimist in author’s opinion, maybe the ‘dame na kanji’ here might refer to something else. Dame means no good, useless, cannot. Kanji is feeling. Dame na kanji could mean feeling no good. But it might be referring to how he thinks that he simply won’t be able to bottom. Maybe because physically he thinks he won’t get any pleasure from bottoming (and it’s true though, bottoming and anal sex is not for everyone. Some people can feel pleasure, some people may only feel pain.). But what I am sure is that, he didn’t say any word about being a bottom stripped him his pride or that it would be a big blow for him or whatever (maybe it could be implied) but he literally only said that being the uke as a man, he would get him ‘dame na kanji’. Lmao... so interpret it as you like. But yeah, personally, I feel this line has reflected so much of author’s misplaced perception of gay relationship and gay sex. So, yep, that’s so not cool. And I hate the author for this.
I hate it when a guy doesn't want to be a bottom because it hurt his pride
