Heck, the author even spent their damn time writing Hayafuji's struggle try to figure out in himself why he had so much hate towards women and came to terms with it. But that doesn't matter, huh? By no means did I disregard the victims. But don't assume I didn't feel for them just because the perpetrator realized his wrongdoings and I happen to analyze him.
I understand Hayafuji now. I believe he's a redeemable character at this point. I can imagine how cathartic it must be for him with Hara "forgiving" him. It's nasty but it can spark his self-redemption and maybe there's a chance for him not to become the same kind of father and husband to Minako and their child. Overcome his fear of himself and his resentment to women, esp Minako.
Hara is still not moving forward. She took a step but she was too weak for Misato's manipulation.
