To be honest, talking from experience it is kind of difficult to just be that "obvious" of a situation regarding relationships, specially homosexual ones. Even though he said he likes seichiro, that could still mean to seichiro that "maybe he is just confused, I don't want to make any mistakes with someone so important for me" kind of ish. Real life can be way more scary regarding how someone actually feels about you, so I like this manga because of that.
He was just a coward, but hey I'm a coward too, do I really not deserve love because of that? xD
true, true, not all people can act on their feelings or just be that forthcoming (without worrying about the outcome/ramifications). takeru is quite special in his precociousness and tenacity. i guess i've just always been a believer in "you never know, unless you try". it's gotten me into trouble, and definitely hurt my feelings at times, but i always felt it was worth it. i think you are right tho, it IS realistic for most people to hold back. i just REALLY LOVE IT when i read stories about people who take those risks. maybe that's why i love yaoi so much, because the relationships go against the grain, beat the odds, rip up those societal constraints - which (in my eyes) can make them even more powerful. *^_^*
...seiichiro not so much. kinda cowardly and passive. i wanted him to anguish & take responsibility for hurting takeru so much. anyone else feel like he wasn't worthy? poor takeru had to do all the work / chasing. *sigh* rather lopsided, in my opinion.
