She's not weak. She was suddenly told "you can become a mage". No one takes the time to teach her anything and she's thrown into a place where she has no clue what to do. Everyone else has learned magic since kindergarten. She's in a new country, has no friends, is speaking a different language and is expected to be able to do what the others can do. Not to mention being forced into a contract with someone who wont help her and a curse as the cherry on top.
Eh. I didn't really mean it so seriously. I'm used to reading webtoons with characters like Ianna and Edna. So if I see a shoujo-like mc, she's immediately weak. Judging from what you've said though, she's due for more credit than I thought. I would rather see her have a better character development though. There's nothing really that unique about her except for the curse and the demon.
Look, I know how she's constantly exposed to many undesirable situation, but that does not justify her weak-willed responses. How she constantly relies on Kyle/others for motivation, how she just LETS Arciel boss her around/kiss her without CONSENT(Oh, and the one time she slaps him, she apologizes immediately(like DAMN GURL you don't need to apologize for actually refusing to be sexually assaulted)), how she is never assertive.
Yes, these situations are beyond her control, but her responses to these situations ARE IN HER CONTROL.
Just because she's in a new country, has no friends, is speaking a different language, etc DOES NOT JUSTIFY HER PATHETIC, WEAK-WILLED BEHAVIOUR.
TBH, I'd much rather that Witch be the main character than Rio. At least she knows how to keep her men in line.

But the thing I hate the most when it comes to this, are people who think one type of person is only supposed to be a certain way even though they themselves aren't what they are describing. Their more arrogant and childish in my opinion instead of "strong and dignified" or whatever kind of shit they said.
