    I think he finished the objective of the shadow world and took people out, while Adjest only focused on defeating Desir and not the objective. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

    Yup. The tower was basically a magic summon, so he analyzed it and destroyed it. Bringing it down on the competitors below and accomplishing the objective.
