I mean she's always been obedient to her aunt's plans for her entire life. She's not going to suddenly change as a person. The only disappointing thing is that Dohwa's pep talk didn't inspire more motivation in her. Whatever encouragement she gained was fleeting. I don't think either Hyeown or Dohwa will clue in until something big is revealed.
She also disobeys her aunt when she feels like it. Especially when it comes to Dohwa. So she can change whenever she wants to if she has the right motive . We’ve seen Hyewon since the beginning try to hide her real identity. The Hyewon in the beginning chapters would never confess to being a flower maiden and she sure as hell would’ve committed murder to keep it hidden. But we see her character develop and she becomes okay with spreading the information just so she’s not hated by one person.
I hope that she’s been doing some thinking for herself that we haven’t seen and turns her character around for the better
I really don’t know what to think of Hyewon. I love her but I really don’t. Okay so fair enough she doesn’t know that the aunt and yoosun are evil. And her loyalty to them is unwavered. But is she not tired of living in the shadows and having her every decision be made for her? She has all the power but at the same time acts as if it does not exist like it’s not her birthright and hers alone! So.. she slips every secret to the people who make all the decisions for her then runs to Yunwoo for help. Why does she want help if she will continue to share everything anyway?? I hope the next chapter Yunwoo reveals some concrete evidence to her as to why she cannot trust her family. Or even convince Hyewon that she thinks her aunt is the murderer of Dohwa’s parents. If Yunwoo can do that I don’t see how Hyewon would sit comfortably in her little prison knowing clueless Dohwa is living with her parents murderer and playing house with Yoosun.
