I posted this too soon. My phone keeps changing the parameters for the touch sensitive areas.
Anyway, I wanted to make the following correction: I am posting this to explain the downvote and make amends for it, if you're okay with that*; I agree, after having finally read your post, properly (so my apologies!):
I also wanted to address another point that some of those other posters have made as well, though: that we aren't sure if the woman married him for similar reasons to his, too, either. Nor are we sure if Hisamitsu is actually gay. I know that Toki probably is because he never felt sexual attraction to girls and fell in love with Hisamitsu, another man. However, just because Hisamitsu loves Toki doesn't necessarily mean he's gay.
I know it wasn't the perfect solution to his one-sided love. But y'all need to chill a bit. This kind of logic isn't actually that bizarre. In many parts of Asia, many people are bound to fulfil "duty" to their families. I know the seme's logic was like a fucked ip version of it. But yeah. that's just how culture and social norms affect people's decision.
What am I saying. It's 3am. I should be asleep by now
