I feel you.. We all wanted him to have a new starting.. A new life.. But it just ended.. In some ways it's kinda good too.. I don't know if he could still live with himself, with his past, but at least he died with a peaceful smile, thanks to Eiji
Just finished watching the anime and came here because ppl keep saying that the manga has a different ending, but it was the same and my heart had to be shattered twice, i've watched a lot of anime and read hundreds of manga but i dont remember crying this hard over a character. Although i watched this anime in 2 days but t got so attached to ash he was the perfect mc i always hoped to see and now i feel so broken so lifeless but more than anything so angry. It's not like i can't accept the death of my fav character, I've seen many of them die like lelouch, ace, neji... and was ok with it cz it was for a greater reason, but ash's death was so random so useless. He didn't suffer this much to face such a meaningless ending and by someone like lao, if the author was going to kill him anw then i'd rather see him die while achieving smth, not after defeating all his enemies. It s just so irritating to see such an incredible manga end like this.
