Hmm... if he's the secret route... it means that he has feelings for Maria ... since she's the heroine of the original otome game. But since, she's so fond of Kat' ... he was jealous and wanted to get Kat killed ou exiled so she disappear from Maria's life. Am I right ?

The president is the villain (uses dark magic) who kidnaps Maria. In the end, Maria chooses the main as her “love interest” saying that she wants to always be by her side. The main has a happy ending (no death or exile). All the other characters love her dearly <3(≧∀≦)
