It was the doctors back in high school when he wore contacts, but then Yashiro stole them and has been holding onto them since. Since for like 15/20 years he’s had an unreciprocated love (since he never told him or anyone for that matter UNTIL Doumeki that he loved him) Yashiro has kept it as a memento of his unrequited love. I guess he just wanted something of his to keep close, idk.
For Doumeki, since Yashiro confided in him and told him he only loved one person in his life but never told them, he stole it from Yashiro... I’m not quite sure if it’s from jealousy or because it’s proof that Yashiro actually is capable to love...

Ah, I misread your question soz. You wanted theories on why Doumeki and Yashiro found the case important.
Umm, I'm guessing Yashiro kept it all this year due to his unrequited love for Kageyama and now that Doumeki found it and took it, Doumeki is under the impression that Yashiro is still in love with Kageyama. So I guess both are holding on to the contact case to symbolise unrequited love? But then again, I'm not great at theorising so take this with a grain of salt hahah :P

3rd or 4th time rereading the whole thing and I think only now did I manage to fully grasp the whole politics of what is happening in the mafia world, boy is there strong world and scheme building here. The art as well, I think my most recent additions to an album are snippets just from recent chapters and all their expressions.. Just too good.
Also, anyone as theories or something I missed on the lenses 'KK' case? Why is it so important to both Yashiro and Doumeki???
