Presentation on Association Between Violence and Pleasure

I have a question to ask everyone on this website because I am seriously debating whether or not I should go forward with presenting this topic to my class. Basically, its just discovering how violence and pleasure really connect with each other and exploring topics such as sadism and masochism, which is fine and all for me but I'm scared of being judged by my classmates for presenting this topic.

Being labelled a pervert and all other vulgar names is what I really don't want to happen, but I was just genuinely curious about how these two topics relate to one another so decided to choose it as my presentation topic. In all honestly, I've been contemplating about whether to just switch to something more general for example connecting violence and class or gender but I know it's going to be harder for me to do.

I don't know what to do. Should I just stop being a chicken and just do my presentation on violence and pleasure?

Thoughts? ( ̄∇ ̄")

edit: i have asked my teacher about it and he was completely fine with it and most of us are sixteen

I think, especially in a school environment, writing about things like sexual pleasure probably isn't a good idea. Not even because the fact that you would be labeled rudely, mostly just because it's likely to make other people uncomfortable, or even triggering in some cases. You could try to go for a broader topic that still relates to violence, maybe like violence in relation to coping or hobbyism. You also could ask your teacher about it? See if they're okay with it. And if you decide not to for this, consider writing about it another time for self indulgent work if you're interested in the topic. Even if it is harder to pick a different subject, I'd suggest going for something different since it's and school and if you're younger it's likely to get you in trouble.

Yeah man, it's fine. We make presentations so that other people could judge it, give opinions to it, and recommend some things to us. Plus, I think that your topic is actually a good one. So proceed with it and don't get discouraged anymore. Good luck buddy!(๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I think it depends how old you and your classmates are , if anyone is still underage it could be risky , and did your teacher approve of the topic?

you're so courageous , And I really like the topic, but not everybody is open-minded like you ya know? I'm afraid that you'll get bullied bc of that.

have you talked to your teacher about this? it's a very risky subject. interesting, but risky and it could make some people uncomfortable. especially if the audience is underage.

yeah, i wouldn't do this because
    1. You will get judged, not a maybe, you will. If you get anxiety from being judged, don't do it
    2. Make sure it won't affect your social life (some friends might be dicks and think you are weird if you do)
    3. There is a large Gray Area between if this subject should be adult 18+ or spoken with younger audience (like a kinky birds and the bees talk), if one of your classmates is, idk, extremely christian, they might tell their parents, the parents will tell the school, and the school will either defend you or, like in most public schools, not defend you and give you a punishment.
    4. You end up on Reddit (this is the least to worry about, but to most people talking about sadism and masochism at this age is weird)

Basically it all depends on the classmates, and the school. Very risky.
Also, because its a presentation and you are most likely going to have pictures.
PLEASE DO NOT USE BL OR YAOI PICTURES THATS A NO NO. THATS GONNA TRIGGER REASON 1-4, THATS LIKE DANGER ZONE FAM.
