yeah, stalking and harassment are common, mostly for women. It doesn't help that it's seen as shameful to speak up about it.
I live in Japan and I actually have been raped before. I tried to open up about it to my coworkers (two of them that I talked to often at work and got close to) but they told me it was my fault and that it was my responsibility etc. I felt absolutely horrible. And I couldn't believe that some (or a lot idk) ppl think that way here. It's absolutely sickening. :(
So what did you do about it? Did you report it to the police?
No. It was stupid not to but at the time I was too much in shock..
Please don't feel ashamed, that wasn't your fault! Don't let anyone make you feel bad about it and talk to the people you trust.
I know it won’t solve anything, but it wasn’t your fault, it wasn’t your responsibility, and those people were wrong to say those things to you. And you have my sympathy for what happened; it’s just not right...the stupid f&%k who raped you is the only one who’s in the wrong.
Some of these mangas/manhwa give the impression that rape is common in Japan/Korea and people feel nothing about committing such acts and will openly smile at you the next day like being raped or gang raped was nothing
