Yeah. He did lost it. But I think it wouldn't be a waste since after he finished his penalty quest he'll be transported back to the dungeon.

Did he lose the hearthstone (chap41), cuz it would be a shame if he did cuz it might be useful or did it just disappear back into his inventory or did he lose it
