Feminine men, androgeneuos men, transgendered etc yes. Men with boobs? Yes, I do like bara, and I also like shounen ai type stuff. It's a spectrum, not this or that. But, if you have eyes, you would know it's a bit extreme this time with this author (an author I like) and I have the right to politely state my opinion
huhh pretty boys are a thing that a lot of people enjoy, and there's no place to find them other than manga, stop being arrogant and thinking everything gotta please your standards. Skip to the next author with tastes more similar to yours, and stop whining. This author has always drawn beautiful ukes and that's what kept me reading her works, you don't have to.
why don't you follow your own advice and skip my comment and go to the next instead of winning. Not every comment should please you or your standard. And you don't owe the mangaka. I know many people will disagree, but there are people who agree with me or I wouldn't have any likes in the first place. And I'm amazed at the reasoning of you all- why would I bother wasting my time commenting on her work if I think it's bad and could simply skip it. Only coz I like her, I mentioned my thought. I didn't use bad language or anything for anyone to find fault with my personal opinion. If you think I'm wrong, state your opinion with reasons. Please stop telling people to shut up just coz something doesn't please you. There are so much oppression in this world without some girl trying a gay guy teach how it should be in a manga, one of a very few media that represent us (even if it is inaccurate most times).
I didn't want to get involved as I tend to get involved with most of your discussions. But I had to say this ;) I know BL was initially created for female audience but it all came a long way from it's original purpose. And there is no specific rule or law stating that yaoi or BL should stay in the shallow fantasy world targeting female audience. Everything evolves and changes with time. So I don't see why people keep insisting "It's just fiction", "If you want reality, go read something else" type of argument all the time. Even in fiction, it's ok to point out racism and sexism, but not ok to point out men with real boobs??? My personally tend to date is androgenous or feminine guys, but it oems't mean I can do it with a girl lol. Femininity and females are two different things. While it is most welcomed not to stereotype femininity as a women's thing, it is equally wrong to desexualize gay men. So I'm with you on this one. And we British complain ALL the time ...
Um.. here is the uke- http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/junjou_bitch/bt/44623628b352c0d46dad894756616dca_chapter-3/pg-33/ and here is the seme - http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/junjou_bitch/bt/44623628b352c0d46dad894756616dca_chapter-3/pg-34/ And people expect me to think it's a "pretty boy" with "soft and smooth" features ????
Bruh, you can't even spell "whining" right. HAHAHA. Gotta love those typos when you're writing a response to an argument, am I right? Oh, and another thing. You know there's a little something called
Moving. On.
It's a thing for mature people. You adolescent minded wouldn't get it. And don't try to give me a smart-ass reply like you did for all them other peeps. I don't care, but I do like correcting people when they make typos. It's hilarious. Ha, "winning". ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
1. Thank you for correcting my English. It's always good to learn new things/ correct one's errors. :)
2. There is a period/full stop after 'Moving' in 'moving on'?! And after your victorious "Ha", shouldn't there be a exclamation point, not a comma?!!! "Gotta love those errors"
3. Move on (It's a phrasal verb by the way)- The pot calling the kettle black (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 You ancient people just love to not listen to your own words right.
I know you won't disturb my comment thread, because you are obviously matured enough to move on. Bye grandma...
As I said, you tried to give a smart-ass reply. I know very well that I didn't make any mistakes because I'm smart and I have my own way of talking. And I will disturb your comment thread because I'm me, and I also like doing things people tell me not to do. Being mature means not complaining and forcing your opinions on other people. Keyword; opinions. By the way, if a grandma were on here, they'd be a cool grandma. I would appreciate that grandma because old people should enjoy good quality manga. Don't you think so too? Like, most grandparents would be furious over this stuff, but a grandma commenting on a person who reads it because they read it too, that's gold. Unfortunately, I can't be that awesome grandma, but I can still be my amazing self (⌒▽⌒)
Yeah I can see "she is smart in her own way". Dude she didn't even get that your grandma comment is a reaction to her "adolescent-minded" people (⊙…⊙ )
She is so mature that she has amazing impulse control that she "like doing what other people tell her not to" ( ̄へ ̄)
She tells you to move on but she doesn't, she tells you to be mature and she can't stop but have the last word in everything. I wouldn't even have minded if she relied to your comment, but she has to correct your English while she herself admits it's an autocorrect. Who does that????? ha ha ha
Punctuation mistakes are "opinions", we all got schooled (⊙…⊙ )
Sorry for continuing this, this is just too much fun :D
PS: you know there is a "block" option right????
My point was that this is pointless and that you search and read things that fit your taste instead of sitting here and arguing about this one that was made for the author and the rest of us. If Yaoi is a big part of your life, then go off, protest, but just remember not every piece of media is made for YOU. Anyways, thanks for reading.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I never think that any literature is made for a single person or a group of people. I think the problem is with today's society--most people can't take any comment, personal opinion, or constructive criticism. They act like they've never heard the word "literary criticism" or book review. Analyzing anything from a readers point of view is not protesting and definitely not asking everyone to agree with one's comments. One purpose, for me personally, is to share my thoughts with similar-minded people. And if you've seen the comment thread you'd realize that readers do enjoy sharing what they think, despite it being the unpopular opinion. I'm sorry it doesn't serve the purpose for everyone. And people have the freedom to laugh at my comments, or shrugg it off and move on. If not for sharing of ideas, why should mangago has these comment sections and questions thread. If you expect me to know what kind of opinion would please all the readers, I'm sorry to say that it's beyond my ability and I think it's rude to tell people what to do or not to do as long as they are not harming others. Thank you..
If i wanted to see a man and a woman doing it, l wouldn't have picked a yaoi. Please dont draw the ukes like women. Thank you
