I feel you. Also, its fantasy! So why would it have to be "historically accurate"? Are writers so bad at their jobs they can't imagine matriarchal societies or any different cultures or etc? Its just lazy if you ask me.

I have been a reading quite a few webtoons with female MC living in ancient times (well times of kings and queens). It really bothers me that almost all the people with power are men and all of them quickly dismiss the MC as weak and useless @.@ I get that history can't change and that the plot needs her to grow blah blah. But can't the authors add other strong female characters. These stories sometimes says "she's different/special" Really, only one in a thousand girls (or a million) can stand among men?
