The uke lives in the countryside with her only relative, his grandma. He goes to the capital to study and there he mets a sempai (the seme), who doesn't pay attention to him. One day after classes, he sees a white cat crossing the street and it's about to be hit by a vehicle, the uke runs to save it but he's stopped by the seme. So the cat dies. The uke is upset and decides to take the dead cat in a box to his house in the countryside to bury it. Later on, the spirit of the dead cat appears and wants to take revenge on the seme but the uke takes the blame instead. The spirit curses the uke and turns him into a cat, it says that if he wants to break the curse, the seme needs to come and asks for forgiveness to its grave at the same time it died. The uke has limited time if he wants to break the curse. Anyway, throughout the story, the uke is almost raped by a bunch of cats, almost dies after eating poisioned meat, almost burns alive, has an infection in his mouth, and almost drowns.
