Maybe it's an asian thing? For as long as I know, it has always been that way from where I'm from....things like that must be talked with parents as well for approval so... ^^ it's more of a cultural-societal thing, I suppose?

I still struggle to understand why people who are older and can support themselves still let their parents decide where they will live. If you have no money and must live with them then okay. But idk
