Listen: as an adult and researcher in working in forensic psychiatry, this is quite literally how pedophiles groom children. This is grooming, not some romantic bullshit, it's manipulation of isolated children who feel lonely and want affection. This whole "relationship" has been quite literally textbook in grooming children towards accepting, protecting, and wanting to continue being around pedophiles. Chapter 62 is a scarily accurate rendition of what conversations are like when children and minors have to be made aware that what is being done is wrong. That the relationships that they are in are coercive and manipulative, not accepting and understanding and nice. And god, especially in the LGBTQ+ community, minors are even more vulnerable to this (like shown in this story) because they feel more ostracized. Seeing Seunghee do exactly what other minors do when attempting to defend and rationalize their predator is heartbreaking. This is all not okay, and the adult at the office trying to have this conversation with him (albeit, it could've been handled better) is very, very much right. This is not to blame Seunghee for any of this; he is still very much a kid, even at 18. The fault literally completely lies on the pedophile who has been grooming and stalking children for years, and it also partially lies on his "friend" who still hasn't turned him in for this behaviour and still allows it to some degree to happen. This is all not okay, and I'm really glad that Chapter 62 reflects that as sad as it is.
Wow! That's interesting! Never heard before about this grooming technique of the pedophiles! I mean, I knew they used this whole "attention" thing to get in their favour, but never heard of the term "grooming". Very interesting, indeed~
Thank yooouuuuuu I was really kinda shocked that ppl like his character or think he's intresting... Who to me (with no schooling on the subject) and other friends of mine who read this webtoon can tell that man is a pedo 100%
i love that you point out to not blame the victim. because i’ve seen so much victim blaming within yaoi, it’s saddening. and thanks for adding facts. kudos!
