there was another version that showed the beginning of why she was burned alive. she was basically a shitty queen who was selfish and did whatever she wanted and try to get the prince's love. I think he fell for like a pure, nice, innocent girl and the mc tried to kill her. (something like that) so the prince/king killed her family and her. I dont remember everything but it was something like that.
Holy shit :o no wonder! Kinda reminds me a tiny bit of abandoned empress. It would explain why the king went to such extremes to make the mc's last moments painful.

Was it her husband who did it on purpose if he thought of her as a nuisance?
Did she kill someone or attempt to kill a high official got caught in her first life?
OR Did she try to poison the king after getting tired of him ignoring her?
She was a snob sure but getting burned alive sheesh o_o that's a severe punishment
OR Did she get caught doing witchcraft!?!
