Age

So everyone’s complaining how childish she is....but, our brain is what makes us ..well us. So she has the brain of whatever age she is. It seems when she was first born she had a very clear image of who she was, but as she started to grow I believe she’s started to accept her new life. She’s learning everything again because she’s in a child’s body. Everyone treats her like a child. Tbh if I was to be reborn with my memories I may start to wonder if my past life was a dream, especially after a couple of years.
But she does still understand that she lived before, however she is a child how with a child’s brain and heart. She even acknowledges this, especially where her father is concerned. Children forgive their parents, no matter what they do tbh. She shows her adult self by doubting it but ultimately she can’t fight it. It’d be easier if you think of her as a very intelligent child. That way it’s more enjoyable. Sorry about the massive paragraph.

You may be right, but why then bother making an adult reincarnating story if you won't use her being reborn in the story later on. Why not write about a very clever princess

I think it’s a popular topic atm, I think people like to imagine “what if” and so this author is addressing that. “What if I was reborn in such and such world”, and this is how she decided her character would deal. (Maybe?). I’m not the author but that’s how I would see it. As someone who creates stories often, this is also a question I ask myself. And I think that’s why I enjoy this story so much. Because ultimately we’d just adapt. There’s nothing more we could do. If, in this story she acted like her 20 something self it would be suspicious. And do you think her father would still love her like he does? I think he would have killed her, or others would have accused her of being a witch.
Again these are only speculations of mine, you’d have to ask the author to know, but I hope I managed to help answer your question.

^This! I mean Dranste himself said she would have been dead by now if she hadn't acted weak. I really think people have to be ignoring certain parts of the story to be making these kinds of complaints. Plus, you're right that doubting what you see and hear shows her adult self more than automatically trusting what she's been told. It's weird that so many people think it's the opposite.

Finally, I think this entire story has already been about reincarnation. She remembers her past life and we can see her struggles in adjusting to the completely new circumstances she's been thrown into, literally a whole new world. If this wasn't blatantly obviously about reincarnation I don't know what would be. If what the other readers are concerned about is the lack of direct association between her old world and this one I think that's exactly what this plot development is building towards.

I wish I could like the replies because you’re correct. I think people are missing certain parts and getting confused
