Have you read the prequel? This is about Rogi. He's the one who did those horrible things to Tatsuyuki in Yondaime Ooyamato Tatsuyuki. Basically, what we're seeing are flashbacks from a years back. Rogi is in ~love~ with Akitora, Tatsuyuki's father. In the present we know that 1. Akitora's wife, Ume, died when Tatsuyuki was 7. 2. Akitora is not speaking to and is not in good terms with Rogi, which is apparently why he did those horrible things, because he wants Akitora to notice him. 3. Rogi has an adopted child, Riku. 4. Rogi finally became a yakuza (He was trying to become a yakuza in the past, since he was interested in Akitora). In this manga, we'll see what happened in the past and how things lead to the way they are now. In the present, Riku and Rogi have "adopted" a "dog," which I think is the possible love interest of Rogi in the present. LMAO I SAID TOO MUCH but yeah
