LN or WN?

I was planning to read the web novel of this manga but then I found out that there is a LN as well? Does anyone know if there is any difference between the 2? And if yes, which one is better to read? Thanks (●'◡'●)ノ

The web novel is a little ahead but it's not a lot. I'm reading them both.

    WN: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-saints-magic-power-is-omnipotent-wn/
    LN: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-saints-magic-power-is-omnipotent-ln/

It's the same translators on both versions. Right now the LN is trying to catch up to the WN.

WN stands for web novel and LN stands for light novel.

The WN is posted online and if it's popular and some publishing company gets interested and want to publish it, they will ask the author for a contract so that they can publish it (the published version is a LN).

There might be differences between those two since the publisher might want some say in how the flow of the story is or sometimes the author want to change some things. Sometimes there are extra chapters added to the LN. There's also the chance that the publisher doesn't want the author to continue writing the WN as they don't earn money on that.

At least that's how I understand the differences between the two.
