Am I the only one who doesn't pity him?

I mean if you have scumbags for parents, fuck it. If you have an asshole for lover, fuck it! If your brother is "better" at everything, fuck it....Don't let anyone take you for an idiot, goddamnit!!! Stand for yourself and don't let people get you down. I know this is a fictional story but that's a real problem with teens and even adults nowadays, later on they get traumatised or become suicidal. Let's work on our self-steem and that way no one will push you aside, you'll love yourself, believe in your strengths and then you'll be aware you can truly love someone else!

Not to be too serious but I have to disagree. Having that amount of pressure on you and high expectations can be really draining on a person, especially a sibling rivalry and not being able to please the two people you love the most.

I have to disagree too. It's true that you shouldn't let anyone discourage you or get you down. However, in Jiwon's case, he loves his parents and wants to live up to his expectations. Not receiving any kind of love back from them of course took a toll on him. Plus, being constantly reminded of his failures is always too much for a kid. Of course, there are people who carry on with their lives and find happiness. Unfortunately, that's not the case for everyone and it's not their fault.

i appreciate your intention but it's honestly easier said than done for many, many people. it's like telling someone being abused to just stop being abused and simply fight back, it sadly doesn't work that way :/

Yeah you are all right, but it's so sad that I've read oh soooooo many mangas with the exact same problem... maybe I see it that way because of my "I don't give a damn!" country's culture┗( T﹏T )┛
