I believe it's more of a western thing to have dish washers in every household. It's not really a staple item in many Korean apartments/ houses. If they want a more western style house, then they would have one i think, but they might be living in a more traditionally styled place and that might be why. I could be wrong though haha.
Well, having dishwashers in a house is not common in Asian countries.

Really love this series and have read all of it several times...but just a passing thought, as rich as Mookyul is--why do they not have a dish washer? Or were things different in Korea 2009? Not trying to be insulting just being curious.
