True about the abuse part, but with the right way, you can fix a broken person if you have the ability to heal them. You must have what they are missing. I personally have seen this happen in real life.

You cannot fix broken people. It's not romantic, it's not safe, it's not even spiritual to take that much abuse from everyone. It's unhealthy.
