I'd like to know too. Reading the latest chapter it seemed like a scene not in the anime so perhaps it is indeed ahead. I'd say just read from the beginning honestly
It was a part when they want to depart from Gusu to find the sources of that hand, if I'm not mistake but in anime they cut so many interesting parts so it quite unsure
The anime ended when we wuxian woke up in lan zhan’s bed, which was around chapter 42-45. The anime was formatted quite differently from the novel or the manga. In the anime they decided to make a 12 episode flashback of we wuxian’s past. Then 16 years later they show him waking up from a certain someone’s bed and finding Emperor Smiles jugs hidden in Lan Zhan’s floorboards. Can’t wait for the 2nd season .
Timelines are different. All flashback scenes until wy became yiling laozu are compiled. I strongly suggest you read the novel from the beginning (till end obvio).
