I kinda get hachi, i was in a similar situation and although i took other choices, i get what he feels.

Well, I found it a weird story a little bit.. It was never clear to me why Kuma slowly started distancing himself from Hachi. I felt at the time, as I remember, that Hachi was a little abandoned. So Hanabi searches Hachi out and when they all three started seeing each other again, it didn't bother me that Hachi had fallen for Hanabi.. And in fact, Kuma offered up Hachi for a threesome, so I didn't feel like he was so in love with him, no matter what this story says. just my opinion.
I didn't hate Hachi but I didn't like him either. I found him boring and flat.
This make me hate Hachi so much But I’m totally just being a protective mama bear
