To me that is even a better plot. None of the cliche about "true love will make you a whole person, you'll find your other half." instead it shows if you can be comfortable with yourself, you can find a partner and be a good partner to them.
I thought it was going to be Haruhi finding his "One and Only" but then Haruhi found HE was the "ONE AND ONLY" Haruhi!! ヾ(☆▽☆)
