I never wanted to feel sympathy for Sangwoo, but I also don't like how people are so quick to brush off murder as him being traumatized, like that's some kind of justification.

People are raped and abused every day and they don't go on to murder people because of it, and even if they do that doesn't give them a right to. So much of this story has been about the reader seeing the awful things Sangwoo is capable of, and how much he ENJOYS what he does to women. Even if they're a substitution for his mother, he's still a psychopath and still murdered a lot of people.

This is a really thrilling story but I don't think readers have to brush aside how truly abhorrent Sangwoo is to enjoy his character.

    Who ever said that readers were brushing the murder to the side? Most of us are just focused on what the hell is happening at this moment.
