Chapter 11. (Part 1)
School had ended. GAY walked alone. He felt so confused about Mike. What was Mike about to say? Why did he hesitate, whenever GAY wanted an answer? And what is his deal with Tristan?
GAY had so many questions flowing around his head-it started to give him a headache. GAY wanted to clear his mind.
And the one thing GAY knows the best place is; Morning Joe!
A coffee store that GAY always visited after school, or whenever he wanted for a snack.
GAY went a few blocks down, and stopped at the place he wanted.
A white building with a green door, and a white and pink stripe awning. On the top wall is a store sign that has a cursive, brown color, and a picture of a white saucer and cup, and three little steams (to look like hot fresh coffee). GAY pushed the door open.
DING-DING! a small bell rang, whenever someone entered inside.
GAY could smell the freshly baked goods. Brownies, muffins, bread, and other sweet stuff, wafted through the air. Even different varieties of flavored coffee drifted around the area.
Inside has a spacious room that had a bit of the 1950s and a rustic look. A black and white checkered tile floors, wooden walls, some red seating booths and a round table, blue stools, picnic benches and table, a globe string lights dimly lighted the room, for that warm cozy feeling, and a jukebox.
GAY walked up to the counter, where a twentyish, tattooed arms lady was waiting for a customer.
"Welcome to Morning Joe!" The lady said, in a perky voice (or try to sound perky). "How may I help you?"
"I'll have a small-size dark coffee and a blueberry muffin." GAY ordered.
The lady pressed the buttons from the register. "That will be ten dollars and thirty-eight cents."
GAY paid his food. Then, some familiar voice came from behind GAY.
"Can I have what he ordered?"
It was Tristan.
GAY turned around quickly.
