Yes i think that has some part of it. Like you know people like the person who desprately and blindly goes after someone who doesnt like himback like anyone wanted and do stupid things and be stupid and it will make people feel more sympathy towards the one who is chasing and the chased one is called being a jerk because that one clearly told from the beginning that they are nothing more than sex partners and have a lot of time to understand the other one is actually like him and of course in that situation the person will going to be confused and try to get away since it is what he wanted from the beginning and then they will fight because the one who is chasing wants more and other one doesnt and people call the other one with names and hate him. The chasing guy gets more point and when finally the one being chased start releasing his feelings wich is do think it is very cliche and the one who was chasing try to push him away when he clearly start everything from the beginning.
