LOL For the same reason misunderstandings drag on forever when a simple sentence could clear everything up... conflict and tension. Without conflict and tension, a story feels empty and unfinished. It's a writer's necessity. A necessity I hate sometimes, because it is not always done well, but a necessity none the less.
Why do they always walk out after dropping truth like that and the other party almost always never runs after them even tho they just discovered they had mutual feelings.
