i watched both the anime and ova and from what i can remember, it is originally a game by Nitro+Chiral then the anime was inspired from that while the OVA came from the idea from the BL game.

that's what all i can share since i haven't played DMMD and i can't understand Japanese (=・ω・=)

i played the game but haven't watched the anime so I can't really say what the anime was all about.
but dmmd is basically a dating sim filled with psychological aspects, steamy smut scenes, sweet good endings, fantastic characters (and dateable), and good ol despair-ful bad endings ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

i loved DRAMAtical murder

also it seems that the anime follows the "True ending" route of the game, while the OVA features the bad endings in the game ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

well i mean Noiz is my best boi of the game, but why was it obvious that Noiz was supposedly the real otp?
