Totally agree.
Even so, people have all the right to say what they feel like about it.
People change their tastes over time. Maybe it's a good thing for the ones who are trying to become writers, manhua authors, or anything related to those activities.
I just hope that they also perceive that:
1. Not everyone will like the same things.
2. Complaining about a manhua to be behaving according to its own style, plot and genre is pointless. We'll always have cliffhangers. It will always take a long time to get in any place. You may not like it, but please understand that if it suddenly changes too much, most of the readers would drop it right away, and that isn't good for the author, and for most of the readers.
Complaining is just good as a way of thinking of what could be done in a better way, and putting it into action. As long as people use this feeling of insatisfaction to make a better thing, that's awesome!
Dear Complainers, write your own version and show it to us! :)
We'd love to see your fanworks! Don't forget to post it here, too! <3
Thanks for your attention!
True but the last 2 chapters have been painfully more worse. It has been the "same pace" but not necessarily because after some time, it progressively gets worse considering you realize its getting slower and slower plus more unnecessary dragging. Its still decent overall but very stop start plot rn. People are being impatient because lots of important things are happening while the author keeps teasing us (not in a good way) and basically saying, its going to happen its going to--sike just kidding, there's more unnecessary misunderstanding before realistic things happen. Authors do that but he's done it so much now, at this point its to drag it out till 200 chapters. Slow burn is slow burn but there's a diff between slow burn and taking years to get to the point.
I really don't see it that way. I see some people crying that the "important talk" YuYang was supposed to have with his parents never happened. It seems that everyone got a hint that this was going to happen, instead of them just sweeping the dust under the rug once again. Maybe, just maybe, someday that "important talk" can happen, but I never got that idea from the development. YuYang refused to have that talk. He had poured his emotions over them and was slapped in his face in return. I can't blame him for not trying anymore. At some point, you just give up, right?
The plot, as promissed, is to show the development of a relationship. By development, I never got the idea that the story would end when they (finally) get together. I hope to see them fighting and fixing things, over and over again, until some sense of stability gets on them. YuYang is quick to judge and act on a whim, while LiHuan isn't used to communicate with other people. Of course this couple will have some huge fights over minor things, a lot of misunderstandings and so on. And they will grow with that.
At least that's what I hope for, even if it means I'll need to translate 1000 chapters :)
(DJun, I'm kidding. Don't do that, please)
I also hope it won't end with them just being together. I'm not really complaining about the important talk as I know that will be another time. But I'm talking about content and dialogue as in they exchanged maybe like 10 sentences with each other in the last 2 chapters and its becoming painfully obvious with terrible cliffhangers as they keep stop and starting the plot. I hope you're right about the plot being about development of a relationship. Just based on his last work, that's not what happened and I guess you could say the pacing is here is slightly better but not much diff from his last work. If it is gonna be dragged out and end with them being together then we were right to complain and be worried. But anyway, hope for the best right?
I'm really surprised so many people are being critical and mad lately. I think it may be due to impatience? Because the narrative and pacing *is the exact same* throughout the comic, so it's not anything new. I get that it's a slow burn, but that's just realistic, and that's what we signed up for, dudes.
We have a character who's never been interested in anyone before and a dude who has had an unrequited love for YEARS. Of course they won't just all of a sudden be in love without complications, while YuYang already has enough on his plate, by getting his family to take his sexuality seriously and being in charge of so much at the college.
