As far as I remember- Merry's Dad is different from the hyung(I actually forgot his name already wtf) the hyung's dad was friends of merry's dad, but merry's dad died and I think it was because of that bitchass witch we all hate, and then the Hyung's dad started to like help/take care of merry's mom, so like the witch thought she'd get all the men, reason why she hates her so much lol... Therefore there's no blood relation here. They're basically like childhood friends but I guess merry treats him like a big brother cause it was the only person who looked after him since small. He's so innocent that he probably doesn't know it sounds a little weird LMAO.

They are not related at all by blood. Sooho’s dad was the boss of Merry’s father who was murdered (by Sooho’s mom). From then on Soohos’s father looked after Merry and his mother, he often brings Sooho with him that’s why the relationship of a older and younger brother was established.
And I think Sooho's father kind of fell for Merry's mom, right? (Who wouldn't, she was beautiful and way better than his psycho wife. I think that's even more why Soohos mom hated her.)
