Hola my pretties. I'm doing a foreign exchange program to japan and wanted to know if any had any tips?
I know a bit about Japan and have some friends from there but their first language is Japanese and i'm like bish what? when they try to explain to me. Leave tips <3!! -M

    I heard that you aren’t supposed to tip the waiter in japan, since it’s considered rude

    Tipping is not customary, except in few very specific situations. (Staying at a traditional Ryokan, for instance.)

    -Don't wave a raw fish and squid on people on the streets
    - Don't scream on a temple
    - Don't break your souvenirs and return it to the seller saying it was damged the first time around
    - Don't show of your underwear on a red light district
    - Don't ever make fun of a dead body in Aokigahara

    Simple Google search should do you the trick because majority of people here have never been to Japan or are Japanese.

    Some tips:
    Please do not put your chopsticks in your rice vertically. This represents a funeral ritual.
    Don't ignore queuing systems.
    Don't blow your nose in public.
