Because they still don't know what will Shark Ranta do next, if their translation comes out.

Renta has volume 1 of Saezuru in English, it's not their translation so presumably it's the June version. June had/has up to volume 3, and the translation wasn't the best quality (American english, language not conveying the emotions and characters, not using Japanese terms like "Aniki" but instead informal "bro" which doesn't have the same respect and meaning etc). Guessing from vol.3 will be their own translation, but not sure where this leaves the current fan translations.

    * Here's just a silly little example of the problems with the official translation. In chapter one, when Yashiro asks Doumeki his name he replies in the June translation as "Chikara Doumeki" which is wrong. Whereas in the fan translation he properly introduces himself as "Doumeki Chikara" (surname then first name rather than the other way about).

That's just what happens when They westernised Japanese names to cater to English speaking readers.

What's really silly are the actual translation mistakes.

OP here, and I agree. The translation should resemble what the characters are actually saying, not Americanise them because they think readers wont understand the cultural differences. Job titles, names are a big part of conveying their roles, familiarity and respect in this manga which isn't the best translated in June. I was surprised that the fan translations on here are actually better than the official, so it was a bit disappointing, maybe Rentas translators will be more respectful of the ext if they do translate future volumes themselves though. There are lots of little concerns, just those mentioned like wrong translations of names and using American slang were just small examples from volume 1, seeing as it's being reintroduced on Rentas site.

    * There are actually blogs about the problems with the official June translation, as the issues are more than just names wrongly ordered or titled, but actually changing what characters are saying, misinformation, using clunky dialogue that doesn't fit with the setting or characters, changing the slang used by the characters like "neko" to bottom (for a more light example). Presumably a lot of people on here haven't bought the June translation, so mentioning this as there are snippets available on others websites.

This does not sound well for them.I thought Renta was a Jpn. site. You would think they would have gone all out for this manga and not fell back on June old translation.

I would hope that if renta translates they will convey things better, rather than to westernise. I'll use names as examples, as it means being able to write a shorter post. Yashiro in chapter 2 refers to Hirata in Yoneda Kou's text as "Hirata Kumicho" which relates directly to his position in the group, yet in the June translation he just says "our chief". Also the fact that Doumeki uses personal language to refer to Yashiro at times isn't conveyed well. Doumeki is of low rank, he should instead be referring to him respectfully as "kashira" at all times. Nanahara usually says "Atama" instead. Later, Kuga refers to Kageyama as "hey big boy" (yep seriously ffs) in the June version, but he actually says "husband".

    * Big apologies for the last translation, as it should be "Ossan" not fucking "husband" which came from an audio translation of Ossa lol. Well at least I'm not claiming to be an official translator. How June made "Ossan" which is sort of a way of saying a person is an old man, into "big boy" god knows.
