Now it’s regulation on pages they want to put addrsssing naysayers? And it’s not one random, there’s a few of them I’ve seen the same persons that are barking at them each update seems like. They get flack for replying on mangago, now it’s a problem if they do it on their own release? Sheesh

Lol unprofessional! This isn't a job its a hobby. The page was very vague so if the shoe fit! Also that's because most people will lay there and take it if someone whines, but there are also those who clap back. I have read 100s of mangas where the scans work is just AWEFUL but i don't complaint because I'm not in the right to do so. If i want to fix it i will scans it myself.

Lol YES! I have seen other scan groups do it. I’ve read on tumblr where scan groups say explicitly “FUCK YOU” to readers that talk shit to them. And tell readers “We don’t give a fuck.” You may only be on Mangago, but there’s a thing called Tumblr, and it’s gotten crazy before on there. This is mild. Super duper mild.

Who sets these standards? who chooses? who are they to choose? since when do scan groups hafta follow a “norm” and do what other scan groups do? who are u to make the rules and say what should and shouldn’t be done? It’s all illegal! rules been broken from day 1, lol

You're going on a tangent, no one said anything that even sounds like those guys have any right to complain rather than leave constructive criticism. I also specifically said "i know it's not literally your profession", so you're just repeating what i said back to me. The point i was making is that translators have a certain set of rules they stick to and a level of grace in what they do. That page lacks these qualities. I don't see translators arguing in the comments section and i've NEVER seen a translator put a page like that in their translation.

Sure, within their groups, but not within their translations... I had specifically said "i've never seen a translator do this before". What is "this"? Inserting a page as a passive aggressive jab at the comments section WITHIN their translation.

The translators all have rules they follow and usually maintain a certain level of grace while translating. Not willing to argue that with you, i've seen plenty of scanlation groups argue over the rules and i've NEVER seen a translator do what she did.

I wish people could understand this :/ it’s 2018 I guess and people get insulted over colored pages

Oh? Where are these rules? I’ve been out of the scanlation world for 1.5 years. This is new, do tell. & I’m not going to argue with you about grace, because that’s all opinion & through each individuals perspective

I don't have an issue with the colored pages, they have nothing to do with anything being discussed under my topic.

Nuh uh. Seen this on tumblr. exiled reb Scans just said basically eff you to readers a few weeks ago because someone complained about the lettering of the story on a release. I’ve seen nijiniji do it, Fujoshi bitches, and more talk smack back to asshole complaining readers. Heck if we could post pics on here I’d show yer. It’s public on tumblr. So it’s done, just cuz u don’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t out there.

so Ppl tell the group it’s “unprofessional” to respond on Mangago in comments section. When they address it on the page of their own release, they’re told it’s “unprofessional” to do that too. Haha!!, you all are ridiculous and full of yourselves. Now you have no validity in my eyes, utterly ridiculous

Talk to some groups to find out how they do things, i'm just saying this from the perspective of a reader who has seen groups argue in the mangago comments section about how the other group is being disrespectful for -insert reason- (one off the top of my head is picking up a translation that another group is doing. Another is using someone else's translation/not crediting work). There are plenty of rules that'll get other groups pissed off at you. I never see translators arguing with readers in the comments section, there were actually a lot of comments awhile back about how she should've just ignored them or at the very least not got as into the argument as she did. One from another translator. I don't ever see translators cluttering their translations with unnecessary things either.

Yes, within their group on tumblr, we went over this. I said and have been saying specifically "within the translation", if you can cite some pages that other groups have left in their translations, feel free. You're dodging the issue i'm actually talking about and bringing up something else.

But doesn’t it? The group is responding to the ppl that have an issue with the colour pages. And your remark is about them addressing those ppl. So it all ties together.... ...Try addressing the ppl that are whining first. There’s a cause &..effect.

I don't agree that it was a problem that she responded at all, though the fact that she sat there arguing and cursing is unprofessional, yes. So is the act of her continuing this argument with a jab that she placed within her translation.

If she wanted to retort, that would've been fine, but this has been going on for awhile with her being an active participant in the argument.
