AV industry w/ an actual affectionate seme and *gasp* no rape: http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/calling_ootsuki_miu/
I judge what to read base on the general comments and rating/# of votes when it's got the rape tag. It blindsided me that there was no moral resolution or character development despite the overwhelmingly favorable comments. I'm pointing out what I find problematic for any future like-minded reader.
You know what's interesting? The manga I linked runs in a similar vein to this one: both working adults, the seme in the sex industry, the uke in a socially acceptable profession. Uke's first meeting with the seme has something to do with porn. You've got a timid uke and a very persistent seme.
Yet compare the general comments between the two titles. The seme that catches flak is not this title, but the one in Calling mainly for staying in the AV industry. Cheating (which the seme in Calling didn't even do) is apparently a worse offense than rape in this genre. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
tl;dr: I'm going to continue dropping negative reviews as thanks in return for those who does the same if it means avoiding titles that I find aren't to my taste.
I can't overlook the rape in this at all. Reverting to rape even on the last chapter, and having Chihiro not respect any boundaries after their climactic confessions is just... (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I kept reading since the sub-plot with Chihiro having to have an AV on hand when they have an "encounter" was super interesting (for the angst), but that... never really went anywhere. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
